Stan Vukmanovic, MD, PHD

The allergenicity scoring system is designed by Stanislav Vukmanović, MD, PhD (immunology). He was a professor at NYU School of Medicine and George Washington School of Medicine, and has 11 years of experience at FDA as an expert on cosmetic allergens. He has authored more than 100 papers in scientific literature and was a member of Skin Sensitization Expert Groups at OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) and ICCVAM (Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Validation of Alternative Methods) and of Allergens Working Group at ICCR (International Co-operation of Cosmetics Regulators).

Linda M. Katz, MD, MPH

Linda Katz, worked at the FDA for 36 years. She was the Director of the Office of Cosmetics and Colors (OCAC) and served as an Acting Chief Medical Officer for food and cosmetics safety. Dr. Katz was an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services of the Health Sciences for 20 years, where she taught medical students, residents, and rheumatology fellows at both the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the Uniformed Services of the Health Sciences.  She has multiple publications in scientific and medical literature and received numerous awards including the Food and Drug Law Institute FDLI’s Distinguished Service and Leadership Award and the US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary’s Award for Distinguished Services.
